Degas ceremony

The Degas House has entertained guests in New Orleans since 1852. We are confident that we can provide the setting and the service necessary to make your event memorable. The Degas House uses only recommended caterers, photographers and florists to ensure the highest quality.

The Degas House comfortably accommodates meetings, weddings, seminars, retreats, social events, luncheons, exhibitions, receptions, lectures and cultural, historic and artistic events. The Parlors, the Dining Room, the Courtyard, and the Gallery provide function space. The atmosphere of family is pervasive through the House, and in many ways, comforting and refreshing. Your event will be memorable, successful and well done at the Degas House.

The restored beauty of the House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is highlighted by reflecting sunlight from sweeping windows. On walls painted Parisian Gold, Desiree's Deep Red, Ginger Leaf Green, Musson Blush, Uncle Michel's White Cotton and Impressionist Rose, are framed reproductions of Degas' work including family portraits, equestrian scenes, nudes and ballerinas.

Private courtyards have always characterized the charm and desire that is New Orleans. All types of events can be accommodated, weather permitting.
The dining room serves primarily as a breakfast room for our Bed & Breakfast Guests.  Small meetings and luncheons can be accommodated by reservation
